Watchers & Visitors Policy
- A patient is allowed to be assisted with one (1) watcher only.
- Each watcher is given a Watcher Pass (WP) upon admission and should be worn inside the hospital premises at all times.
- Watchers and visitors should dress appropriately. Beach shorts, slippers, sandos and camisoles are not part of the dress code.
- The patient/watcher/visitor is discouraged to bring the following items:
- Intoxicating drinks such as beers and the like
- Deadly weapons
- Cigars, cigarettes and lighters
- Folding beds, chairs, pillows, bed sheets
- Jewelries and other valuables
- Visiting Time
- 10:00am – 12:00nn
- 4:00pm – 6:00pm
Safety and Security
- Security of the patients and visitors is a major concern of EAMC thus we have established the following regulations:
- Personal belongings of visitors will be INSPECTED by the security personnel at the entrance doors Smoking is PROHIBITED within the hospital premises Firearms, deadly weapons, intoxicating drinks such as beer and liquor are NOT ALLOWED TO BE BROUGHT INSIDE the hospital.
- In cases of emergency i.e. fire, earthquake etc., safety measures such as automatic water sprinkles, fire alarms, fire extinguishers, emergency exit doors are available inside the hospital.
Patient Billing
The Billing Section issues Statement of Account upon patient's discharge. It may likewise provide upon request, preliminary updates of patient's bill during confinement. Inquiries and clarifications regarding billing statements can make on the following schedule:
- Monday to Sunday & Holiday: 24hrs a day
Admission
- Patient should secure an Admission Order only from EAMC accredited physician.
- Must present hi/her Philhealth Membership Card (if applicable) to the Admitting Clerk upon admission. Inquiries about Philhealth coverage can be obtained at the Philhealth Assistance Unit located at the hospital Main Lobby.
- Initial deposit as payment for hospitalization is NOT required.

Rights of Patients
RIGHTS OF PATIENTS
(KARAPATAN NG MGA PASYENTE)
- Right to good quality health care and human treatment. (Karapatan sa mahusay at tamang pangangalaga ng kalusugan at gamutan).
- Right to dignity. (Karapatan para sa kanyang dignidad).
- Right to be informed of his rights and obligation as a patient. (Karapatan para mabigyan ng kaalaman tungkol sa kanyang obligasyon karapatan bilang isang pasyente).
- Right to choose physicians / health institution. (Karapatan para mamili ng kanyang manggagamot / pagamutan).
- Right to informed consent. (Karapatan para magpasiya o gumawa ng sariling desisyon ukol sa kanyang sakit pagkaraang maipaliwanag sa kanya ang anumang kahihinatnan ng kanyang desisyon).
- Right to refuse diagnostic and medical treatment. (Karapatan para tanggihan ang anumang pagsusuri at gamutang medical).
- Right to refuse participation in medical research. (Karapatan para huwag makilahoksa pag-aaral medisina).
- Right to religious belief and assistance. (Kararapatan sa paniniwalang pangrelihiyon).
- Right to privacy and confidentiality. (Karapatang mapanatiling pribadoang anumang impormasyon tungkol sa sakit).
- Right to disclosure of, and access information. (Karapatan na maipahayang sa kanya anumang impormasyon tungkol sa kanyang karamdaman o sakit).
- Right to correspondence and to receive visitors. (Karapatan para makipagtalastasan at madalaw ng kanyang mga kamag-anak).
- Right to access his own medical records (Karapatan sa kanyang medical records).
- Right to health education. (Karapatan sa wastong edukasyon patungkol sa kalusugan).
- Right to leave against medical advice. (Karapatan para makalabas ng pagamutan anuman ang kalagayan ng walang pahintulot ng doctor).
- Right to express grievance. (Karapatan maipahayag ang kanyang reklamo).
The Obligation of Patients
(OBLIGASYON NG MGA PASYENTE)
- Know the Rights. (Alamin ang karapatan).
- Provide adequate, accurate and complete information (Magbigay ng makatotohanan at tamang impormasyon).
- Report unexpected health changes. (Ipagbigay alam ang anumang hindi inaasahang pagbabago tungkol sa kanyang kalusugan).
- Understand the purpose and cost of treatments. (Intindihin ang kahalagahan ng gamutan at kung magkano ito).
- Accept the consequences of own informed consent. (Akuin ang anumang resulta ng kanyang desisyon).
- Settle financial obligations. (Magbayad ng kanyang obligasyong pinansyal bunga ng kanyang pagpapagamot).
- Respect the rights of health care provider, health care institutions and other patients. (Irespeto ang karapatan ng mga “Health Care Provider”).
- Obligation to self. (Obligasyong pansarili).
- Provide adequate health information and actively participate in his/her treatment. (Magbigay ng dapat at tunay na impormasyon tungkol sa kanyang sakit at makilahok para sa kanyang agarang kagalingan).
- Respect the rights to privacy of health care providers and institutions. (Irespeto ang karapatan pansarili ng pagamutan at mga kawani o empleyado nito).
- Respect a physician’s refusal to treat him (Irespeto ang desisyon ng manggagamot kung ayaw siyang gamutin).
- Ensure integrity and authenticity of medical records. (Siguraduhing tunay at walang binago sa kanyang “medical records”).
- Participate in the training of competent future physicians. (Sumali sa pagsasanay ng mga kumukuha ng medisina upang sila ay maging mahusay na manggagamot).
- Report infractions and exhaust grievance mechanism. (Ipagbigay alam sa pagamutan ang anumang akalang pagkukulang o paglabag sa kanyang karapatan).
